The case study involves a 90-year-old manufacturing company that had been acquired multiple times, resulting in nine disparate business systems and 18 custom interfaces. Due to the lack of integration, the company faced challenges in tracking raw material pass-through and margins, which affected their profitability. They had no way of reconciling operational and financial data, and it took too long to react to potential inefficiencies.
